20 dead after limo going down hill in New York state crashes into bystanders
Twenty people died Saturday in a crash in upstate New York that local officials say involved a limousine near a crowded tourist spot, state police said Sunday.
Local officials said a limo speeding down a hill crashed into bystanders at the Apple Barrel Country Store in Schoharie, about 270 kilometres north of New York City, the Times of Albany says.
The store is a popular spot for leaf-peepers, or people looking to take in the fall tree colours.
Authorities haven't released names of victims or specifics.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
A news conference is planned for 3 p.m. ET. Sunday.
